15-year old Amy finds herself pregnant by the school cad, Ricky, after a one time hookup at band camp. Nice guy Ben joins the band to be near Amy. Jack has anxiety due to his girlfriend Grace's decision to wear a abstinence promise ring to express her devotion to the Christian values.

Gracie is unsure over whether she should forgive Jack, while Ricky and Ryan try to understand their relationship. Meanwhile, Amy begins to experience morning sickness, while Ben hears rumors about her.

Ben continues to try to woo Amy, resulting in their first kiss. Meanwhile, Amy breaks the news that she’s pregnant to Ashley, but fails to tell her parents. Later, Adrian begins to believe that Ricky is using her for sex.

Amy becomes upset when Ricky asks Ben to come over, after she had wanted to talk over adoption options with him. The meeting is full of bickering until Amy decides that Ricky must keep the baby or it will be sent to a nice family. George's gay co-worker and partner approaches him about adopting Amy's baby, a decision he agrees with. Meanwhile, with Ricky's father back in jail, Adrian tells Grace that she can date Ricky again. Adrian is frustrated by Ricky, and fools around with her step-brother, Max, who drops by to find out if his step-father is cheating on his mother. And Jack hooks up with the sister of his mentor, Shawna, only to be heartbroken that she already has a boyfriend.

Ben causes a rough spot in his relationship with Amy after saying he needs some space. Elsewhere, more people are interviewed by Anne and George concerning the adoption of Amy's baby.

Ricky makes an attempt to ruin the adoption plans. Elsewhere, Ashley tries to persuade Ben to go back to Amy.
